Supporting our Community

The occupation of our downtown added a layer of harassment, insecurity and stress to our already strained community.  

Our community members, organizations and businesses did not deserve to struggle through this extra challenge.  

We want to make sure that our valued community organizations feel our support.  

As a gesture of support, CIPP has made a $1000 donation to 5 organizations: 

• Cornerstone Housing for Women 
• Youth Services Bureau 
• highjinx 
• Tewegan Housing for Aboriginal Youth 
• The Good Companions 

We are so grateful for the roles these and so many other organizations play in our community. And more than ever our community is depending on them.   

Our members work so hard to create a community that thrives. We are especially aware of the important work community organizations do to provide shelter, housing and essential services to women at a critical time in their lives.  

We encourage all members to make a contribution to a community organization serving our downtown.  

Let’s make sure they feel the support and solidarity this week more than ever.
