October 2026 – CIPP Day of Action!

You and your colleagues are building union power! 

Throughout the year, you have come out to all kinds of events to let your employer know that you deserve a respectful approach to bargaining and fair pay.  

On October 13, members across the city wore blue and CIPP swag! You changed your Teams icons and backgrounds to the CIPP logo. You dropped by CIPP tables at Constellation and City Hall to discuss bargaining.  

You made your support for your union visible.  

Bargaining started strong, with the employer coming to the table before your contract expired and sending representatives who are empowered to bargain.  

But now, your employer is sliding back into old habits. We’ve been waiting for their counter proposal since May and we’re looking at arbitration dates in mid-2027.  

It is important to send a message to your employer that you are no longer accepting the status quo. And that’s what you and your colleagues did on this Day of Action!
