Mike works as an Economic Development Officer in the Strategic Initiatives Department at the City of Ottawa. Mike was first elected to the CIPP Board of Directors in 2021 and in 2024 was elected Treasurer.

Naïka works as a Health Equity Specialist at Ottawa Public Health. She was elected to the Board in 2025 and also took on the role of MEDC Chair.

Shen works as a Municipal Assessment Advisor at the City of Ottawa. He was elected to the Board in 2025.

Léo works at Ottawa Paramedic Services as a Superintendent of Communications Training and Quality Improvement. He was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2019 and returned in 2024. Léo is a member of the Governance and HR Committee.

Ahmad works as a Buiness Consultant in Crime Prevention at the City of Ottawa. He was elected to the Board in 2025.

Matthew works as an Assistant Project Manager at Ottawa Community Housing. He was elected to the board in 2024 and is a member of the Governance and HR Committee.

Wendy is a Project Manager in the Finance and Corporate Services Department. She has been with the City of Ottawa for 20 years.

Peter was appointed as CIPP Executive Director in December 2020. He has extensive professional experience in leadership roles as well as labour relations, advocacy and management expertise. Peter supports our members in both official languages.

Julie’s human resources and labour relations background brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and experience to CIPP’s services. She is a certified Human Resources Professional and a dedicated advocate for CIPP members.

James is a certified Human Resources Professional who comes to CIPP with over 10 years’ experience working in labour relations. His knowledge, research skills, and negotiating experience are a great asset to our members and negotiating teams.

Andrea joined CIPP in 2024 and has a wide range of experience supporting union members. She is also a Registered Nurse and has experience as an active union member.

Shirley keeps CIPP’s office running smoothly and she supports the work of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. She is also the main contact for CIPP members who need assistance or information.

Hannah joined CIPP in 2024, bringing her extensive experience in membership engagement and labour organizing. With her energy and expertise, Hannah supports member involvement and advocacy.

Katherine joined CIPP in 2025, bringing six years of experience in communications for unions and non-profits.

Melissa joined CIPP in 2021 with over 10 years of experience working in political organizing and communications. Her passion and experience are a great asset to the CIPP Team.
