Here's what's happening at CIPP

CIPP’s 2017/2018 Board

The members elected to the six vacancies on CIPP’s Board of Directors are Jennifer Nickerson, Suzanne Rowland, Lola Dubé- Quibell, Ashley Murfin, Jerrod Riley, and Garth Tourangeau. Returning to the Board for the final year of their term are Darryl Wilton, Chris Xu, and Kelly Hastings.

Policy and By-Law update

The proposed by-law changes necessary to implement the new investment policy were adopted by the membership at the AGM. The by-law amendments and new investment policy are currently posted on the website with the 2017 AGM material. Revised by-laws will be posted soon.

Negotiations Wrap up

CIPP has successfully completed the negotiations for both its Collective Agreements! The new agreement with the City of Ottawa came into effect November 8, 2017. The OCH agreement was ratified early in the summer. Thank you to both Negotiating Teams for their hard work for CIPP members!

Based on conversations with members concerning the CIPP logo and website, we've established a new look that reflects the values and mandate of CIPP and developed a new website that increases member access and services. Read more about the process here.

Our Labour Relations Team is committed to protecting our members' rights. They also serve on CIPP's negotiating teams in collective bargaining.

Policies and Bylaws

CIPP's Policies and bylaws guide the operations and governance of the Institute. The Board's Policy & Education Committee develops and reviews bylaws and policies as required.

This year's Annual General Meeting will be held on November 15th, 2017 at the St. Elias Banquet Centre, 750 Ridgewood Avenue.
